When looking at your dryer vents, lint is the enemy. You may think that the lint trap catches all of it, but a significant amount gets past and builds up in the the dryer vent. The more lint there is in your dryer vents, the less effective the vents are. Lint balls are extremely flammable and build-up can lead to many potential problems, including fire at the worst and dirty carpets that need cleaning at minimum.

Dryer vents should be cleaned at least once every one to two years; however, some vents require even more frequent cleanings.

How your vents will be cleaned:

We will inspect to see if there is proper airflow in the dryer vents, as well as check to see if the right equipment is in use. The dryer vents will be cleaned using a high pressure, compressed air machine, typically called a jet-snake. This reverse air tool will blast away loose lint, debris, and any other harmful blockages in your vent, forcing it outside. Our technicians will catch all the dirt and debris in a bag and dispose of it.

The jet-snake is able to turn corners, and is flexible enough to get behind the dryer. Additionally, we also have other equipment to deal with a variety of other dryer vent clogs, such as birds nesting in the vents. Having your dryer vents professionally cleaned will reduce the chances of a fire hazard, increase the lifespan of the dryer, and also increase the efficiency of the dryer.

According to national statistics, 15,000 dryer fires happen every year. Get your dryer vents cleaned and don’t become a statistic !

What problems can dirty dryer vents cause?

  • Dryer vents clogged with lint and debris invite moisture into the system, leading to potential water damage. This also means that mildew and mold may form, causing a higher potential for health problems to occur.

  • Clogged dryer vents can lead to higher gas and electric bills with multiple drying cycles due to weakness of the vents from the debris clogging them.

  • Unnecessary damage may occur on dryer vent parts, leading to expensive repairs that could otherwise have been avoided if the dryer vents were cleaned.

  • Clogged dryer vents can be a pivotal factor in causing fires.
